Decent Except Overage Fee
For those with no other choice, I could stomach everything except the overage fee.
Come on -- $10/GB? I think $1/GB would generate more revenue. You can either take a low-volume, five-star restaurant path to success or be a high-volume McDonalds.
I can appreciate the limited bandwidth environment of satellite tech but until they figure out a way to lower that overage fee, it'll still just be a service for those who have no other choice.
The 10 GB / month plan costs $55 / month including the lease of the equipment, so customers are already paying $5.50 / GB. The price for extra usage has to be higher, or the higher priced packages would be obsolete.

If they charged $1/GB, there would only be a single, fully metered plan. I'd rather see them charge $1/100MB than $10/GB.

They are losing money. Look at the company's stock. You're right. They'd make much more money.
