I was surprised too. I didn't think they'd show up in DFW area quite so fast. I was pleasantly surprised when i checked yesterday and saw Universal sports and Sony movie channel.

as i posted in the sports package thread channel 596 is gone today as well as 571 goal line channel from both my tivos, verizon tells me i have to have the sports package channel to receive these channels ,i have the ultimate package ,why would verizon move the goaline channel after college football season has started? .

Still not here in VHO7. Hopefully sometime next week.

You SHOULD be getting the channels if you have Ultimate. Read the thread on the sports pass channels going away. I had to 'subscribe' to them to get the missing channels to come back (Outdoor and WFN). I did it via my guide. You have TiVo so you can't do that. You'll have to call the number that goes with subscribing to them. Not sure what happened, but you should be getting those channels.

Has anyone who has gotten the new channels received anything in their message box about the additions?

Just wondering as I have no idea what channel numbers these will be on and won't know where to look when they appear.

No, we had On Demand, but never the channel itself.

There's a Spanish Sony Channel that is available I think, you might be thinking of that.

Another FYI - in VHO-5, I noticed that channel 475 (which is a sub-channel to something) that was added more than a month ago with no identification was showing Universal Novelas last night - so that mystery is also now solved. Another spanish language channel.

Yeah, I noticed it too and was just as disappointed. Almost all of those subs are Spanish now. I noticed another one says Programming Not Available anymore, so I wonder if that will be something else now.

OK, I saw another thread that has the channel numbers for the following....

Universal Sports HD - 596

Sony Movie Channel - 735

All four of the new HD channels are now available in VHO4: Sony Movie Channel, Universal Sports, ESPN Deportes, and Univision Deportes.

We got both 596 (UHD) and 735 (Sony) yesterday but I can only view Sony. I have the Ultimate package but the screen is telling me I need to subscribe. WFN is also now gone from my package.

Can anyone confirm if VZ is really removing some sports channels from the Ultimate package? Should I be calling customer service or is this removal of the sports channels expected?

Same thing happened to me (VHO4). Rebooted the STB and all is well...

I pressed the "B" button and ran through diags plus a reboot with the same results! :-(

As unpleasant as it sounds, you may need to call customer service. I have Ultimate and have all the sports channels. Like you I thought that they may be pulling some sports channels from the Ulitmate tier (for me WFN went dark as well as 1 or 2 others) but that is not the case after I rebooted....good luck!

Try following the Subscribe to prompt. When you elect subscribe it brings up a box that says you are subscribed and the cost is 0.00. Follow the prompts, wait and reboot. It worked for me.

Unless I missed this previously, I was watching Fox Soccer Plus on channel 1009 and noticed FiOS added Willow HD on channel 1007 at some point. Willow is an all-cricket sports channel.

I knew about the 4 HDs being added the past week. I did not know about Willow HD. Nonetheless, in VHO7, we do not have the 4 I mentioned, plus Willow HD, as of now on 1007.

I am pretty sure, that our VHO , since it is the most populated, could be the last to get these channel additions.

That is fine with me, as long as we get them in a reasonably fast timely matter.

Also, I might not watch all these recent channels being added. But I am glad that FiOS is adding a few that I will be watching.

I just hope Not like the TV Guide HD debacle. WE got is several months behind other VHOs.
