GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said they are seeking the public's help locating a woman who has been missing since Aug. 19.
Myranda Southern, aka Myranda Whisenant, was last seen at her place of employment, Charter Communications, in Simpsonville on Aug. 19 at about midnight, deputies said.
Deputies said the woman was supposed to be heading to Zellwood, FL, to visit family and never got there.
The victim may possibly be driving a beige 2000 four-door Buick LeSabre with South Carolina plates, deputies said.
Friends and family say Southern has two children, ages 8 and 10. They do not believe she would have left them behind or gone this long without contacting them.
"Her children are her world, that's why we fear something is wrong," said close friend and neighbor Lauren Searcy.
Searcy says there has been strange activity on the missing woman's Facebook account.
"There's been some odd messages on Facebook, and no one has spoken to her verbally," said Searcy. "The way the Facebook messages are worded, we do not believe at all they are her."
Deputies said the victim's whereabouts are unknown at this time and anyone with information regarding Southern is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
