PSA: Rogers has flipped the switch for enhanced upstream

Click for full size
At least in my area.... McNicoll POI.

Used to be 4x upstream channels @ 2.56Mhz each, now it's 2x channels @ 5.12Mhz each + a spare 2.56Mhz channel.

Any changes for the DCM475/476 guys?

This has been happening across the Rogers footprint for a while now...

Hope you wont start having problems, as some people have when rogers started screwing with the RF in their area...

I thought that this switch wasn't possible on SB612x modems without the recent firmware update.

I do remember Rogers messing around with the sync settings months ago trying to get 5.12Mhz upstream but it wasn't stable and they reverted back to 2.56Mhz within an hour.

Nope, there's some other issues apparently that have induced the firmware upgrade

Yep. My node was upgraded from 4x16QAM to 3x64QAM on the return/upload path in early August.

Yes, for your one node. There are thousands more. The upgrade is still very much in progress.
