[Excel] Question on OLE Linking and MS Equation Editor
1. I have a number of Word docs that "talk" to Excel spreadsheets. Too frequently, I have to make changes to the Excel sheets (adding or removing rows) which causes the OLE links to break.
For example, if I "paste special link" an Excel segment that spans A10:E15 but then insert two lines above that range in Excel, the Word file still shows the same Excel fragment at A10:E15 even though my data is now shifted to A12:E17. Is there an easy way to address this problem or do I have to fix up the links every time?
2. I previously used MathType for my equations because MS Equation Editor was not very powerful. In the newer versions of Word they included a much nicer equation editor with the added advantage that I can paste in an OLE reference so that when I update my Excel, the displayed equations in Word will change (Mathtype doesn't do that).
Is there anyway in Office 2013/Win 7 to change the default math font? I have Googled around on this and found some registry hacks that don't seem to work for me, but I would like to get rid of Cambria Math. Why did MS both to put in a scroll box to change the math font and then limit user choices to just ONE font?
