[HD] Still No New HD for DE / Philly AreaThought maybe since we're hitting September we'd finally see some new HD in this area, but nope.
Only notice on my new bill from today - ESPN 3D will be removed on 9/30.
Well, that makes even more open QAM space. |

Re: Still No New HD for DE / Philly AreaThe only provider adding HD right now seems to be DirecTV outside of Bright House Networks and Charter. |

DirecTV has been spending the last year or so making up for lost time. Its competition - including Comcast - were ahead in carrying high def like Turner Classic Movies HD, truTV HD, Headline News HD, E! Entetertainment Television HD, H2 HD, Lifetime Movie Network HD, DIY Network HD, and Cooking Channel HD. In fact, just this month DirecTV added QVC HD.
Comcast should be making a point of adding and carrying at least these in high def: TV Land HD, beIN Sport HD, Disney Junior HD, Sundance Channel HD, FX Movie Channel HD, and its own FEARnet HD. And Comcast should carry them wide. (Meaning, every market in which there is Comcast.)
This is before mentioning of every area missing multi-screens of premium movie programmers' HD, because they were pulled by Comcast, and they should become restored. |

They should have TCM HD there in Weirton. Mid-Atlantic markets are missing Cooking HD and DIY HD (with the exception of Philadelphia Center City). Former Adelphia areas don't even have those 2 in SD in many cases. |

I agree about nothing being added in Philly/DE area. I'm over on Garden State, NJ system we haven't received any New HD channels in a long time. Maybe their working on the "Master or National Channel Line up". Maybe then we will receive more channels because they are starting to be all over the place. on Sept 2nd "FXX" will be on channel 725 right in the middle of the Sports channels. Now that don't make sense. Also would like to Fox Sports 2 added. |
