 | Using Verizon mifi with Millenicom? Hello,
I'm currently a Verizon customer. I now have the mhs291l. For me it's a huge improvement over the Novatel 4620le. The 4620LE device was constantly over heating amoung other issues.
I'm currently thinking about making the switch to Millenicom, but would hate to go back to the 4620le. Unfortunately that seems to be the only options for according to Millenicom for using Verizon's network with them.
Has anyone tried using a Verizon device with Millenicom? I'm wondering if the mhs291l might work if I put in a Millenicom SIM card. |

 | You certainly can use whatever 4g verizon device you want to use with millenicom. Keep in mind, they will still require you to purchase the 4620le that they use. They don't give service to only the sim card. But then after you get the device in, just do a sim card swap to your mhs291l and should be set. They both use 3ff sim cards. |

 | Thanks Kevnich24. That is good to hear! When I had contacted Millenicom customer service, they stated that I could not just put the sim card into the mhs291l. I thought maybe it had something to do with customizations they did to their devices. Sounds like it's more of just a permissions issue than a technical one. Oh and what do you mean by "They don't give service to only the sim card." |

 | And just to be clear. The mhs291l should still work on Millenicom. After I terminate my Verizon contract. Correct? |

Meaning you still have to buy the 4620le for $99, even though you won't be using it. They don't give you the option of selling you monthly service with just a sim card, you have to buy the device as well.
Yes as long as when you cancel, your account is in good standing. If you stop paying your fee or cancel early and don't pay the ETF, they could block the IMEI of the hotspot so it can't be activated with any other sim card. |
