Boyz and Galz any update on the outage at Wolfdale this morning? |
|
|
I didn't get a chance to try it this morning. Not that I expect it to be working, anyhow. |
|
|
Its not working this morning either. I am wondering whether I should raise a ticket in the direct forum, just to show that I am affected too (in case something like credit flows our way.) I am not as badly affected as others on this forum, but this is the second full day with no internet (and for me, no landline voip either.) |

Still out in L5M |

Raise a ticket anyways. More volume may trigger some escalation *wishful thinking*. Very soon that 2 days will turn into 7 like most of us here. |

stopped caring at this point. as much I as I like fighting for the little guy, I like having internet a whole lot more. Got a quote put on my Rogers account for their Extreme 45/4 services (77.99 + $10 unlimited bandwith - $25 discount = $63 /mo. After taxes I'll be paying ~$6-7 more than what I'm paying for Teksavvy 45/4, but this crap sure as hell won't be happening.) |

Hi AC77,
I just checked up on your ticket and we received the following response:
"This is an IP depletion issue. At this time, our engineering team added new IP blocks for Wolfedale POI.
The customer may need to reboot his/her cable modem, router and pc."
I will post this on your direct thread as well.
Cheers,
TSI Jonathan |

Ok. Let us know. If nothing still, we will re-push it with Rogers. |

Day 6 and counting with no internet in L5M. I've been satisfied with your service so far, but my fuse is too short to put up with telecom companies playing hot potato with an issue that clearly affects a large number of customers. It's fixed! ... oh, it's not ... To stick to the game analogy, I've eliminated both Teksavvy and Rogers as potential service providers for the inept treatment of this situation. Moving on. |

At this point, the Rogers engineers do not seem to be knowing a) what the real issue is and b) how to fix it.
This needs to be submitted to the CRTC. And I want some confirmation that Teksavvy will do that on behalf of its customers. Some of the rationale for the aggregated POI was that it would make it easier for Rogers to manage their infrastructure. |

Very frustrating. The outage is one thing, but the level of support (or lack of) by the technicians is far worse. A one hour wait to get thru to somebody is unacceptable. And their response? "Well we're very busy because of an outage". Duh - of course, I would only call tech support when something is wrong.
And when I told them of the other major outage 2 weeks ago, their arrogant tech support acted as if I was lying since I never logged a ticket. I explained that while waiting for tech support, they had a voice message stating they were experiencing an outage in my area, and thats why I never stayed on the line to speak with a tech. I'm already shopping around for a new ISP. |

Please don't tell me another 24 to 48hrs
Sounds like Rogers is just waving its hand and resetting the delay and avoiding the issue. |

There must be a better way to escalate to Rogers......
L5M still out here btw. |

I feel your pain.. I have the same kind of runarounds as well. Like I have said recently; it seems teksavvy isn't what it used to be.
At least now its being noticed by the mainstream TSI people; Andre/Marc etc..... Maybe that will get it some traction.
The way it looks like it; as more people timeout requiring IPs, more people are getting affected so soon; TSI won't have any wolfedale/mississauga customers. That will eventually hurt their bottom line. (And I believe I have read one on a post that refunds will be given for time down. So make sure you let them know). |
