CableCARD HostID change: Phone fail, chat was a success!
Hey guys! I just wanted to make a note. I just got the new TiVo Romeo basic to replace my Premiere which has been working for a while with a CableCARD. On first boot, I got a CableCARD error asking me to call to activate.
So I called BHN to switch the HostID on my card. Unfortunately, the woman on the phone was unable to help and said I needed to talk to the resolutions team, and they open up at 8am. She said that's what her instructions told her.
I thought this was odd because I remember it just working when I initially set everything up and I didn't have to speak to a separate department. I decided to try my luck at the BHN chat.
That was a rousing success as it took all of 3 mins for the rep to ask for the new HostID. Suddenly everything worked and that was that. Great service!

I guess that was an option too hah but I know it was after 11pm and while I know you work you behind off on these forums, I wasn't sure it would be seen until tomorrow. Thanks for that - I'll keep that in mind next time. Also, the new TiVo is significantly faster then the Premiere, it's almost like night and day.
