[Internet] 8 bonded streams down to 4 overnight in Louisville

I lost 4 bonded streams overnight around 3:30 AM. I use to have 8. Anybody else in Louisville see this? My speed still seems OK.

Did you unplug your modem and wait and then plug it back in again?

Yea, it has been rebooted. I just see people celebrating when they get more channels and I am going the other way. I am only paying for 15/1 so it really does not matter, I think.

What kind of modem do you have? I have an Arris that is 8 years old and only get 10.0

I am using a Zoom 5341J for about a month. My older Zoom modem stopped working during the Insight TWC change over. You should be getting at least 15.

I might have to upgrade my modem. Arris will only go up to 10.0

I know with the newer 3.0 modems, they bond with more channels. Once I went to 3.0 my problem with slow speeds in the evening stopped. My Netflix stopped buffering. Major improvement.

Curious, did you have 8 channels under Insight in Louisville or did they change to 8 after TWC took over? Lexington has never went above 4 that I know of.

I do not know. I never logged into the older modem. When I lost connection to the internet with the old modem during the change over I bought a new one and logged into it. I had 8 down then. I have no idea what I had before. I know now I have only 4 after last night. Maybe I was dreaming about having 8 originally.

I live in east side of Jefferson Co. and also went from 8 channels (down) to 4 channels. I have not noticed any speed impact - still rock solid 30/5 speed.

The change from 8 to 4 channels down happened a few weeks after TWC took over.

I am glad somebody else noticed this in Louisville. My speed is still good also.
