NBA TV

Having problems with NBA HD. It is in SD not HD. Black borders on all 4 sides of the picture.

Anybody else?

This was in between games when they were doing a studio show.

Still in SD here, hall of fame induction ceremony today, can't tell me that is a classic being shown in SD.

I switched SD Override from Off to 480p, and sure enough if I go to 589 it switches to 480p.

I never watch this channel, but I Just checked it out anyway.

I am seeing no problems at all. The SD channel is in SD. And the HD channel is in HD. All normal.

Thanks, took this thread to convince them to have network techs look at it.

FYI, I don't watch the channel either, but figure it should be in HD

How did this thread convince them? Did you mention the URL or something, and a CSR looked at it?

I am just surprised that a few posts in a thread would convinced network techs to look at it. That's all, lol.

When they saw that it was in HD at another VHO they realized their must be a problem (previously I was fed the "we don't control content" line). That said, they wanted to come to my house to troubleshoot. Since A) I know it can't be localized to my house and B) I really don't like the NBA I am not pursuing this any further.

Having the same issue, still, in central VA. Also called customer service and they gave me the "don't control the feed" line as well. What to do?

If you open up a ticket in the Direct Forums here and point them to this thread maybe they will actually take it seriously. I don't watch the NBA much so don't want to deal with it.

The odd thing is that once in a while when I am flipping through the channels it is actually in HD then it's like it reverts back to some default setting later on.
