| [INTERNET] Cogeco 10MB Upload in Milton, feeling lonely So from what I can tell, I'm one of the only 30/2 customers in Milton who hasn't been upgraded to 30/10. Called in the other day after doing a reset on my modem (just to be sure) and I was told that I should wait until the end of September.
Over on the Cogeco forum, it sounds like the upgrade has been done by city and profile. Someone just posted that they are in Welland and hadn't gotten the upgrade, Cogeco's response was that the city was done and he'd look into it via the modem's MAC. Obviously I can't ask there since I'm not a Cogeco customer.
So should I really just wait another month, or is there some way to see if something is amiss with my upgrade?

When they make the changes it occurs at the CMTS profile level, ie everyone with that original profile will be changed at the same moment once it's updated on the CMTS. Since the speed change isn't official yet there isn't any way we'd be able to ask why it's not available on that CMTS yet.
Sit tight, it'll be along soon. |

You're not alone, I'm on a 20/2 profile and still waiting - no idea if I will even get the 10meg upload. |

Yes you do, Ultimate 60 was at the beginning of August, Ultimate 30 was in the middle, expect Turbo 20 to receive the upgrade early September. [If you're in a docsis 3 eligible area that is.] |

So tomorrow is October 1, I seem to recall that the speed increases were all supposed to be done by now (although I can't find that reference).
Does that mean that the Cogeco speed increase is now official and I can now officially report that I didn't get the speed increase? |

You're welcome to PM me and I can ask, but I do know that it's regional based on node sustainability so there isn't a full master schedule for each node unfortunately. |

Just to follow up here, rocca helped me out via PM and in the process I realized that the issue was on my end. My Asus router had the QoS set to 30/2 and was choking the upload to that level. Changed it to 30/10 at the router and all is good now.
Lesson learned, I owe rocca a beer next time I'm in London.
