[Cable] POI question

sorry if this is a silly question.

How do you know / find out which one you are on?

It's a moot point really now, as there are only 2 left to be migrated to aggregated...

But here's a general map of the GTA & surrounding area...

The head ends are no longer POIs (points of interconnect between Rogers and TekSavvy). There's only a single POI now at York Mills.

But you are still connected to Rogers Cable network that terminates at the places referred to as head ends or phubs where the POIs were ...

If you are in Grand Valley, that's probably serviced from Orangeville.

Prior to switching to ATPIA you could simply do a traceroute to google and read the DNS lookup of the third of fourth hop and know right there. Now HiVolt and sbrook are correct and a traceroute will not show you anything with much meaning anymore.
