Re: [Connectivity] Modem TFTPing new config file multiple times
WTF if I'm reading that right you have downstream power in the 20's
that way high
upstream might have lowered if the amp is amping the return path aswell, because then the CM wouldn't have to output as much.
its possible as you've had it for so long the techs adjusted the tap to work with it.

All I can tell you, it has been rock solid all weekend. No Event logs, 50/10 constantly. So maybe my tap was adjusted to account for the amp.
WIth no AMP, but with a 3-way splitter I have issues (off an on all day long, works for 30 mins, then redownloads config file and resets, then works for a while 30mins-2hrs before doing the download again). With the AMP (splitter built into amp and no additional splitter) everything works perfectly.
Well, I do have a splitter, but its upstairs.
The Line comes into the house, into the moto amp.
1 output of amp goes to cable modem (3 ft RG6QS)
1 output of amp goes to downstairs set top box (12ft RG6QS)
1 output of amp goes upstairs (30ft RG6QS run) to a 2-way splitter that feeds two set top boxes (one in bedroom (3ft RG6QS), one in office - (25ft RG6QS run)
1 output of amp is capped with 75ohm termination
I guess I could just put a 2 way splitter in place and have one leg feed the cable modem and the other the amp, and only feed the tv's off the ampilified signal -- perhaps a 2way splitter wouldnt cause the problems a 3 way does.... but maybe I should just leave well enough alone since it is working
I appreciate all the comments, I didnt think it made sense either. But my TV and computers are all happy and I guess thats all that matters in the end!
