Best alternatives to unlimited Clear 4G

I think the writing is on the wall. Maybe not this month but maybe in a year?
I am looking for the current best alternatives to a Clear Unlimited 4G plan.
Realistically I've bee using about 15GB each month watching an hour of Netflix or HBOGo streaming at lunchtime. I use a Clear Voyager hotspot.
What's the best alternative plan out there?
Not sure I even need LTE but 3G doesn't cut the mustard so maybe HSPA+ would do?
I am not married to any carrier so even a MVNO would be a possibility.
Ideas?

im not saying this is best but pointing this out. After clear passes i don't think there will be as good a solution as clear provided. That said when i looked at the clear site as it stands now i got a page that says clear has joined sprint or too that effect. I seen a "puck" there that said "unlimited" but the down side is it required a two year contract and probably credit score BS. I didn't look to much further into it as i do not see it being a replacement for the white modem with WI-FI for house use along with it lacking a ethernet (cat 5) port. However since you are a rather light user and are using mobile you can check into it and continue exploring if its not suitable. one more thing IF we have a year with Clear i would be happy but i am very concerned it will be more around 6 months before the guillotine drops.

Neither T-Mobile nor AT & T nor Verizon Wireless offer anything like unlimited data (except for VzW's grandfathered plans). About the only even near-unlimited options of which I'm aware are through two Sprint resellers, Millenicom and Wireless 'n' WiFi. Millenicom is cheaper with a 50 gig cap, while Wireless 'n' WiFi is officially unlimited (though they prefer customers to stay below 100 gigs) but more expensive.

The unlimited Sprint plans are for phones and not broadband devices.

Direct from the company Sprint that is correct. However one can access the Sprint network on broadband devices with near unlimited plans through Sprint resellers like Millenicom and Wireless 'n' WiFi.

It was a bit confusing to me.
Basically it looks like they sell routers that you can plug in a USB Wan device (normally plugged into a PC) and then share that device via the WiFi router.
Since some USB Dongles still come with Unlimited or at least high Caps it's an interesting concept.
Also makes their name appropriate.

The 20 gig limit applies to the Millenicom Verizon Wireless package, not their Sprint package. Their Sprint package limit is 50 gigs. Also, with regard to the one-computer deal, that's not necessarily the case. The B(ring)Y(our)O(wn)D(device) plan gives one the option of connecting with a hotspot which can connect as many as eight devices, all fully networked. In my case, I had an Overdrive Pro that I had been using for Sprint directly. I cancelled my Sprint account and had Millenicom re-assign it to a Millenicom account and voila! all three of my computers connected and networked. As for where to get such a device, go to eBay. Try to get a Tri-Fi, not an Overdrive, because that gives you access to all three Sprint networks, 3G, LTE and WiMax.

They DO sell a hotspot, the Tri-Fi, which connects to all three Sprint networks, 3G, LTE and WiMax. Take a look at »www.wirelessnwifi.com/Unlimted-4···apm0j6t1 . While having notably more expensive start-up costs than Millenicom, WnW's advantage is a much higher data cap than Millenicom.

As I indicated above, one doesn't have to go the router, er, route. They also have that Tri-Fi hotspot plan I listed above.

Then the Wireless 'n' WiFi deal might be better for you. Officially their deal is unlimited, but they are frank that they would prefer their customers to try to stay under 100 gigs if they can, still significantly larger than Millenicom's 50 gig deal.

Incorrect. Their 4G plan IS LTE. It's all three. Take a look at »www.wirelessnwifi.com/Unlimted-4···apm0j6t1 . That's the Tri-Fi, which, as its name suggests, connects to all three, 3G, LTE and WiMax. In fact, that's the plan I currently use, and I am connected to Sprint LTE right now as I write this!

The need to connect multiple clients shouldn't limit someone to a hotspot.

Cradlepoint (»www.cradlepoint.com/) offers some excellent 3G/4G routers which have an integrated USB port. You'll just need to verify compatibility with your USB dongle.

MSRP on these is a little high, but you can find them for much less on Ebay or Amazon.

Also - I'm pretty sure that Millenicom's 20GB plan is on Verizon's network, the "unlimtied" is Sprint.

Maybe its wishful thinking on my part but perhaps Clear is no longer selling current modems because it will be transitioning to a future new LTE-WiMAX modem? Lets not forget about the 10 million wholesale subs that use Clearwire WiMAX thru companies like Earthlink, Freedom Pop, Net Zero, Cricket, Jolt and also Sprint itself. So far no one at Clear/Sprint is saying that the WiMAX network is shutting down anytime soon. Seems like all announced changes will affect new subs only. Can any one envision the Clear brand being sold sold thru Sprint retail stores going forward?
