Re: [Cable] only 1 POI after migration?

said by InvalidError:

The underlying POI structure will remain within Rogers' network. Only difference is TSI will only have one POI to worry about instead of having to mico-manage 40+ POIs.

Let me fix that ... the POIs were located at Head Ends ... now there's only 1 at York Mills. So the underlying head end structure will remain. Only difference is TSI will have only one POI to worry about Rogers mismanaging instead of having to worry about Rogers mismanaging 40+ POIs.

The trouble is the mismanagement of one POI may be devastating as we've now seen.

Assuming each head-end had its own full-blown POI. Only 40ish head-ends for Rogers' whole footprint seems a little low.

This is the head end list ...

It is a little out of date ... the one head end I know not on the list is Comstock (Toronto)

At the bottom is the list of headends used or intended to be used as POIs
