Right, Sha of Pride. That one you blow hero/lust at 50% and burn, but he still spawns the adds every 10%, so you still have to stop and dps those down. Make sure everyone has gone down to cleanse their pride before 50%, because at that point you don't have time to go down to do that anymore.

Fallen Protectors isn't bad if you know your kill orders for both the Protectors and then the add(s) they spawn when in the desperate measures phases (66 and 33%) I think we went Rook, Sun, He... but I don't think that matters very much. Just make sure you are cleaving and multidotting, but never push two into the transition at the same time.

Seriously though, the difference in difficulty from the first 4 to Galakras is significant. Not quite Jin Rohk to Horridon levels, but pretty close.

Oh, and for once it was leather night! I walked out with gloves, boots, and a tier chest!

I'd love you join you guys but I'm EU and Horde so it isn't going to happen.

I'm going to PUG flex in the interim, and as soon as Connected Realms go live, recruit some people for the sole purpose of flex>normals.

Gahhh... the problem with me is I'm tired from raiding until 1:30 last night, and Norushen and Sha are very similar looking bosses with similar mechanics. I was talking about Nuroshen, not Sha of Pride.

Sha does cleanse you at 30%, and you burn at that point. You still do need to burn adds though

We got Immer/Protectors down. We are taking it slower and going over pretty elaborate strats before we pull so it only takes us a couple of attempts and people don't get down. Hopefully slowly and steadily.

Slow is not a bad thing, this is a LONG tier of bosses. I think we are going to add a 4th night this week (probably a short night though) just to see how far we can get week 1. It was weird, we literally got nothing but plate and leather (and a vanquisher chest... DK, rogue, druid lol) with an agi fist and caster staff. The clothies and hunter were less than impressed.

Killed first 5 last night.. Late start due to tanks forgetting to start the patching process prior to raid time. First 4 were 2 shots and Galikras or whatevs took us probably 5 pulls total. I feel the begining to SoO is pretty underwhelming. Hopefully the fights pick up as we go, I doubt well get a full clear this first week with only Monday lef tot raid but well see i guess. Hopefully 10 online at start time will bode well.

Anecdotally, I have not kept up with any of the PTr fights of anything in SoO except some fight where you open boxes I saw someone streaming pulls of it few eeks ago and only remmebred because it reminds me of a boss from Tera. Im sure the fights will be brutal on heroic, I m guessing part of cruise controlling through the first 5 was being in near full heoric ToT gear.(not 1 tforged pc tho QQ).

Also for once my monk got raid loot the first month of a patch. Heres to continued luck!

Tell me about it. I'm still running with the stupid Shadow Pan trinket, and the only trinket I saw the entire time in ToT was a bad juju.

Any help on the 3rd boss? I figured our OT would suck at the spirit realm so I went in first, no problem. When I came out people were already dying from the ads, any tips?

Are you sending in two dps at a time or one dps and either a healer or a tank? If you send in two dps, the adds will get overwhelming because every add that they kill spawns topside. Otherwise, my guess would be that your dps are not stopping on the boss and focusing exclusively on adds.

The rule has to be, when an add pops, it dies asap. No exceptions. They can and should be stunned and interrupted, because they will buff the boss. If your tank taunts them it will help keep them from smacking on the dps, but if someone gets agro they should be able to stun and move. They won't one shot anyone.

Ahhh... we did 10 man but the concepts are the same. Probably shouldn't send down more than 2 at a time then, and treat the adds the same. They pop, they die.

9/14 through last night. Got through Malkorok and did a few pulls on Spoils. Nazgrim was the toughest of the 4 we did. Iron Juggernaut was an easy one shot, Dark Shaman took 3 pulls (basically, don't stand in stuff and don't got near the elemental wall = kill). Malkorok was a 3 shot, once I threw down raid markers marking where the AoE was going to be we killed it.

Nazgrim is all about add management (seems to be the theme of the raid). Shaman need to be burned down, healing totems need to die immediately, as do war banners. Towards the end (20%) you get a ton of adds. You need to time the phases right to get it done. We were getting him to his last defensive stance at about 27%. Manage that phase with adds. When he goes to battle stance, kill adds ASAP (you might want to leave the melee adds, the whirlwind isn't that bad (interrupt it)). Blow hero and burn burn burn. He'll go into berserker stance soon after, and you will get a ton of adds (ours came out at about 10%).

Keep burning, try to CC the Shaman that spawn so they don't chain heal/drop healing totem. All adds can be ccd. Blind/sheep, gouge, traps, etc. We killed it on about the 9th or 10th pull with 3 sub 5% wipes and on our kill The shaman dropped a totem at 1% but he dies before the heal went off.

Enjoy all the trash in Org... we got about 5 epics (4 cloaks.... really?), it's filled with it.

Feels like the raid is going to be Ellie Shaman heaven...

Our first night in SoO went well. We're still transitioning from a 10m to a 25m so we had to PUG a few, this hurt us.

We downed Immer after a few wipes but didn't down the second boss. If we stayed a 10m then I'm sure we would've but it's not possible to have good progression with more than 2 PUGS imho. Anyway, 1/14 ~Lightbringer server

Sounds like people may be failing a tbeams, your OT isnt picking the big ads up, or You phased people arent tellnig you OT that the big ads are coming out. They hurt on non tanks, so if your OT is slow a healer or 2 is probably splat. Make sure you have your peopel ready to absorb the puddles to cap off their corruption and have them going into the orbs as soon as they can.

We held off damage around 60%ish to make sure as many people as possible could cleanse their corruption, that way the 50%-0 burn would be easier. You probably cant delay it all day thoguh as you may hit berserk, but just make sure the big ad is prioritized in both spirit realm and as soon as it comes out. Remeber >50% the big ad dyin g removes boss hp so cleave, target swapping is a dps boost, so get all your meter padders on board and GG.

Oh, and the loot party continues! I picked up tier gloves on a coin roll(yay 2 piece!) and non-tier legs, so 9 bosses down and 5 pieces of gear!

It was pretty funny after the plate/leather party the first night that Iron Juggernaut dropped 2 plate pieces.

Yep, we got it all figured out now. ~7% wipe, need to optimize the raid dps a bit more. ps: that 7 minute enrage sucks in 25s.
