[App Update] Norton 2014 versions released...

Available by right-clicking the tray icon and clicking "Check for New Version".

The trial versions can also be download here:

[App Update] Re: Norton 2014 versions released...

Did that via the internal updater, but I have lost my context menu for manual scanning.

Hey CCat,
Using the new version of Internet Security, I can still do manual scans of files/folders by right clicking them.

Reinstalled it from the download at the Norton site.
Still cannot scan files from the context menu (as I could before applying the update)

May have to image my drive back before the update.

This is from my laptop which I have not updated.
Shows the Norton scan in the menu.

My context menu shows the Norton Internet Security entry just like your second screenshot does.
Have you tried uninstalling, and then running the Norton Removal Tool, before reinstalling the new version?

Not sure if it would fix your issue, but that's what I'd try.

**Edit to warn that should you decide to use the Norton Removal Tool, to the best of my recollection, when run, it will remove/uninstall "ALL" Symantec products from your computer (it warns you about this). It can't be set to only uninstall a specific product.

**2nd edit: In case this post on the Norton Forums is related to your issue...

My problem exactly. I'll see if there's any solution in their forum.
Thanks

It's a Norton 2014 bug and Symantec should fix ASAP.

Thanks.
Seems a bit heavier than NIS 2012.

NIS 2013?.... (skipped that version altogether)
