[Newsgroups] Supernews ripoff?

So I signed up with Supernews.com and as soon as I was done filling out my account information -including Credit Card info- I started getting blocked. I could only access the site again (with Chrome AND Internet Explorer) if I used a proxy server.

Be careful.

Not sure what happened to you but Supernews has been around for years. If you want to post more info, maybe someone can help.

What to you mean by "being blocked"? How? Message?

Let us know and we can try to help, or you can contact supernews support.

I've had supernews for 5+ months now and not a single problem. May have something to do with your ISP?

Imagine you can't access a site because your IP has been blocked. There's no message other than your browser telling you it can't load the site. THAT is what happens. If I use a proxy server, I can access the site again... but NOT log in.

This happened right after I signed up for an account. That means they got my info and then blocked my IP.

Supernews doesn't block people. You probably got blocked for using a fraud credit card.
