Re: Stanley Cup riot hero charged for not filling out census And given the impact of not filling out the census, there are some compromises which must be made to make this country work. -- Need-based health care not greed-based health care. |

said by Crazy Lady :"It's simple. I cannot support anything that has anything to do with Lockheed Martin," she said. Really? Alright then. Let's make sure she's never cashed a pension check because, you know, the Receiver General of Canada, who signs the cheque, does do business with Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, L3, Bell/Textron, Bombardier, Sikorsky, etc. |

Although WW2 [was] a long time ago, many of these companies did not atone for decades more. |

are you referring to Operation Paperclip?
I was referring to IBM and their involvement in the holocaust (they did business with the Nazis during WW2, and IBM equipment was used to manage the holocaust). ....Lockheed was the only company to bid on the work....
It's even a stretch to state that Lockheed processes the data. Lockheed just created the software program that StatsCan uses. The processing is still done in-house by StatsCan Employees... and frankly if privacy is an issue, i'd be more concerned about the hundreds of temporary StatsCan employees brought in each census to process data than the software they're using. |

Reminds me of Steve Fonyo, on a much smaller scale. From hero to jerk in one fell swoop. Knowing the leniency of the Courts in BC (going down the wrong way on the freeway, whilst admittedly intoxicated, causing two deaths netted the woman a complete discharge), nothing will happen to him. -- Alcohol.
