chlenEthically ChallengedPremium join:2001-01-16 Halfmoon, NY | how do I interpret this LTE rollout? I was driving down I-90 into Albany and all of a sudden LTE pops up for a minute. I was told it would be at least a year until LTE is lit up here. They are barely done signing work contracts.
I saw this map (link below), but not sure how to read it. Can someone help me out?

| You really can not tell much from that map as they do not separate out what is upgrades versus LTE acceptance, etc.
I can tell you, there is an LTE accepted tower just north of Bleeker stadium which may be what you saw not to mention a few other towers just outside of Albany. Quite a few others are "3G" accepted which means they normally are just waiting for inspection to sign off on the LTE side of things. Never know when that will happen though.
Crews are out in full force working all over the country.
If you want to follow these upgrades I suggest you join and become a sponsor here: »s4gru.com/index.php?/index You will get updates a few times a week of new towers accepted and such. -- Usenet Block Accounts | Unlimited Accounts |

Thank you, I am a member of s4gru under the same name. I just was not sure how to interpret. I have iP5 and I cant read off the tower info like android devices. -- This is not the greatest post in the world, no, this is just a tribute!

| with how few lte towers in that area you should be able to tell which tower it was based just off of the map on s4gru of completed upgrades. -- Usenet Block Accounts | Unlimited Accounts |

| I am not sure how the iphone reports and such for tower location, but if it is anything like android, the BSL reported, at least in my Signal Check app is not the actual location of the tower. I dont know why. It is almost like each sector is given a different address. I almost always have to cross reference where I was location wise to the master list of sprint towers / upgraded towers map. -- Usenet Block Accounts | Unlimited Accounts |

chlenEthically ChallengedPremium join:2001-01-16 Halfmoon, NY | Sensorly App doesnt let you map like on android. There are no good network check apps I know of for iPhone. That location is where I was. Tower has to be somewhere neat the I87 RT146 exit. Signal degrades from there south as I drove. It stayed up quite a bit though, perhaps 3-4 miles south. Dies right before my house |
