My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15 with built in Wireless N 2.4 GHZ only. Is there any changes I need to make to get the full download/upload on N?

1 edit | I'm not positive since we don't know which wireless card you actually have in your laptop, but I believe if you want to come close to the top speeds on your router you will need a newer wireless adapter with dual band capabilities. I could be wrong, so don't bash me too hard.

Yeah, you'll have to get something that supports dual band to have the chance to get the faster speeds. -- I thought I knew everything...then I got married...

What do you mean "full download/upload speed"? Do you mean the most that your card can handle, or how you can get the best speed across the house, or perhaps how you can get a 600 Mbps connection over 2.4 GHz 802.11n? |
