RebelEl Loco join:2007-04-26 Greenville, NC | Suddenlink VS Greenlight NC Was wondering with all the download/upload speeds that Greenlight NC offers(greenlightnc.com), if Suddenlink will ever catch up with them and offer those same speeds someday? What do ya'll think? |

You're comparing a city wide fiber service to a national cable provider.... Talk about apples and oranges.
It'll be many years before ANY cable system will be able to provide the same as fiber, if ever. It's not even technologically possible currently |

Yeah but why get and spend more and all that money business fiber when you can get residential speeds and even gigabits speeds at a fraction of the cost at Greenlight NC. |
|
 | Because a lot of people don't live in that particular town and have that service available.....
If you live there, of course it's a no brainer |

They have no incentive to do so. Greenlight is in Wilson. The state has passed anti-community fiber legislation. So unless some new player enters the market here in Greenville we're doomed to stay well behind the rest of the world in u/d speeds for quite a while. |

You haven't seen the video going around where the president (or some B$ title) guy says the days of expanding/upgrading service is over. time to reap the benefits. Ttrying to get people to buy and drive up the stock price. |
