New card = happier camera, and photographer :)

Hey guys,

I've always been annoyed that my camera (Panasonic GH2) would start fading during burst shots after five or six shots, to the point that I was beginning to research a new system. Last week I was reading an article that was talking about the new really fast SD card format but figured my camera was old enough that it couldn't handle that speed but decided I could at least try a card faster than the 20MB/s card I had so I got a pair of Sandisk Extreme 16GB 45MB/s cards.

Today was their first sports outing and ... Heaven I was in burst mode, and it just kept going and going. I wasn't expecting such a huge change but I'm very happy with my purchase now. They've breathed new life into my camera. Who'd have thought such a little thing could make such an amazing difference!!

Just wanted to share my joy with people who would actually understand

Although you're elated there must be some sort of resentment on not having a excuse to get a new camera
Sandisk Extreme cards have always performed well by me.

A part of me would naturally love a new toy but a whole new setup would cost me 2-3 months rent, and I kinda like my roof where it is

My sister and I have the exact same Canon Rebel T3, purchased at the same time. She has some no-name 4GB card in it and I have a Class 10 16GB card from Kingston. The cameras feel completely different when shooting. The upgrade of a memory card is more than worth it. I'm glad your experience worked out so well for your needs.
