[Retouch] Can you folks help me re touch some photosI have about 7 or 8, but I will upload one at a time to not overwhelm you guys. I scanned it at 1200 dpi, I hope thats good enough. Whatever you folks can do I would really appreciate it. My Goal is to have an 8 by 10 print or larger if applicable. The colors are fading especially along the border. And the photos seems too" bright". I think it is the way the software scanned it. I am a noob and do not use any digital software. Thank you for your time. The first pic is my sis and I, typical 80s photo. |

Thank you all so much:
Two questions: 1. How does it take you to re touch these photos. 2. Is there anything can be done for the faded portion near the edge. If not, thanks!.
I have more photos but down want to over burden. Ill scan another next week. The next one is tough b/c its stuck in the photo album. |

With layers, you can get pretty elaborate. This was with four layers, each of a different part of the image. |

You could probably use the clone tool in any editing program to blend in the faded bits.
Sorry that I just did a vertical flip of the original image in the thread without verifying the orientation -my bad.
I just played around with the standard tools -brightness, contrast, tone, color, saturation, etc. |

Much better edge clearing than mine, but what's the purple between their legs? |

Bad shadow. There's another defect in the bench. |
