[Connectivity] SB6121 Reboots

For the past couple of days I have been getting random modem reboots on my SB6121.

Here is one series of error logs:

I'm having the same thing here, except it isn't the Moto 6121 modem at fault; I also have an Arris TM402P eMTA for my phone and that's going down and up at the same time. So to me it looks like the service itself is dropping.

Since the usual URL for cable modem is giving me the Moto SB-6121, I don’t know how to reach the Arris logs.

Of course Comcast Support tech claims there is nothing going on at their end. Asked me to check and see if perhaps the dog chewed my cable - and that's not the first time I have been asked that. Class.

A Comcast tech came out to the house and put a new amplifier on which he says is a new 0 gain amplifier. I don't know yet if what he did will have anything to do with fixing the problem. Here are the new signal levels:

Kind of a toss up with getting your downstream to "0", as it was in recommended range to begin with and in my opinion your upstream was exactly where I would want to be. Now it's lower, but still ok.

No, he did not. I do have another one I can try. I was going to wait, however, until he runs a new line. Since the problem is so intermittent, you can't tell if anything is fixed for a while. They are still T3 time-outs.

New line run from a different, closer pedestal. Amplifier removed. Stats look worse. Got a timeout again. :-(

Even though the downstream signal levels dropped a tad, they are still really good. Time to try a different modem perhaps?

Ask them to bring a different brand of modem (just to be absolutely positively certain it's not just a Moto thing)

I could, but they would have to leave it because it is intermittent. I highly doubt, though, that it is a modem brand problem. I had the old modem for some time with no problem. The issue is always around the same time of the day, afternoon to early evening. Sounds to me like it is something happening beyond my residence.

Very likely but at most you pay for a month (when it doesn't work the next tech can take it back on the 30 day guarantee , and jumping over a step in any troubleshoot is a bad idea.
also keep a log, is it time day of the week temp/weather sensitive?

Reboots continue. Supposedly a network engineer was called to look at it, but he got pulled away on an outage.
