20% containment by tonight, but still a lot of work to do. The fog coming back tonight should help slow the explosive spread of the fire by lowering temperatures and raising the relative humidity. The terrain up there is really severe but the number of bulldozers available here should help with making fire breaks to get more containment.
My SIL in Concord is helping at one of the command posts, she is a CERT volunteer. (Community Emergency Response Team) Handing out 3000 bottles of donated water to try to keep the firefighters hydrated she says...
100 homes and Clayton are still in danger if the winds shift the fire that direction.
