[Need Info] Streaming music service - two users at once?

I know there are a lot of streaming music services out there. I have tried several different ones, including Google Music, Spotify, Pandora, Sirius, and a few others, but the main issue I run into is this. Both my wife and I want to listen to the service at the same time while at work. We work in different locations, so we would need to both be able to listen to the same service at the same time on different computers. We want to do it without paying and maintaining two separate streaming services.

Is there any service out there that currently allows two streams at the same time from the same account? We'd even be willing to pay a couple dollars more to allow an 'additional user' so we could both stream. We just do not want to pay for two separate services and have to maintain two separate accounts.

Furthermore, we have an extensive music collection at home and would even consider something like Amazon's Cloud Player to upload and stream our personal music. We just don't know if we both can listen to Amazon Cloud Player Premium at the same time. I have contacted Amazon for clarification on this, but am still waiting for a response.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions and feedback.

It's all about the money. The music industry insists that the music provider pay on a per-stream basis.

Since you have the music at home, perhaps this can help:

Along these lines, I have used subsonic and Plex to stream music from my home to my iDevices and web browsers.

Thank you for the responses! I will look more into your suggestions.

I assume that these programs will let me stream my music to more than one person at a time?

Most definitely. I recommend subsonic over Plex generally, but Plex is great if you're into video streaming and lots of bells and whistles.

I second the recommendation for Subsonic. It's great for streaming to multiple users/devices at the same time. It also includes a jukebox mode that is great for parties, allowing users to add songs they like to the queue.

Subsonic looks cool. I really like that the annual price for the premium version is only $12.

Thanks again.

I ended up going with SubSonic. $12/year for premium, easy to setup, and does everything I want it to.

Thanks again for the direction!

I know you've already chosen, but but I have the same Pandora One login on 3 computers, a tablet and two iphones. We've had at least 3 of those going all at once with no issues.

Is it an issue to have two separate logins on free Pandora accounts? If you want to have the same stations I think they can be shared.

For future reference, Rdio does offer family plans for this type of scenario. But the savings are minimal.
