Now that old man is gone I have less interest in any of Sens games.

Glad to see the news about 9MM -- I've been wondering how his knees were going to be by the start of training camp. I've no issue at all with the Greening signing, as he can be on any line and contribute. Now, if he could just be as good as he was during the playoffs, that'd be great. M'kay?

There hasn't been much news about Cowen lately, and I've got to wonder what he's looking for. If he thinks he should be making the same/more than Methot, he's crazy. Much smaller body of work to use as an proof and a history of injuries. We'll see, I guess.

In the off season next summer, I want to see Spezza, Ryan and Methot signed to extensions. Done, done and done. 9MM? We'll see after this season. Great skills, but he's turning into another Havlat (made of glass).

Methot has been a great partner for EK65, and has shown yet again that Glen Healey is (a) a big bag of hot air, (b) a douchebag, and (c) nothing more than a TML homer who spews venom against the Senators to pander to blue team fans. I suppose riding the pine for as many years as he did makes one bitter, but for CBC to continue to put this imbecile on the air shows they're nothing more than HNIT and could care less about the rest of the country.

(for those who forget: Healey said EK65 was an average defenceman with a good partner, a "one trick pony", and said that it was Kuba who was the skill of the pair who made Karlsson look good. The Kuba who just got bought out in Florida)

Training camp roster.. Jared Cowen is on it (but so is Maidens)

I'm sure the team would *like* Cowen to be there, and he will be as soon as he signs a contract.

Maidens' story is really sad, and I hope he recovers from the concussion issues he's suffering from almost 2 years after the incident happened. I'm not talking about him playing hockey (that would be nice), but just getting his life back to normal. Todd White was guest hosting on the radio late last week and talking about the fact that he is still suffering with post-concussion issues and that's why his career ended earlier than he wanted it to. It was a surprisingly frank and honest conversation too.

I read yesterday that Maidens went to Owen Sound camp this year suffering headaches and hoping he could play through them. He wanted to set a hard date for a return (which is why he did it).

I too hope he gets over the symptoms, so he can live a normal life (with or without hockey)

Maidens couldn't play in the rookie tournament, and that's why Andre Petersson, who has played a couple of seasons in Bingo, to that roster (and he played VERY well too).
