Looking for TV's

I'm trying to find a full 1080 19 inch TV for a bedroom, a 26 inch TV with PIP that's also 1080 as a PC monitor, where can I find them? All I'm seeing are only 720 and, I don't know why.

(I assume HDMI inputs are standard?)

Part of the problem might be that the screen diagonals you are looking for (19" and 26") are typical for older tv and monitors with 4:3 aspect ratio. HD pictures are widescreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and the diagonals are longer for a tv or monitor with the equivalent height of a 19" or 26" monitor.

The typical replacement for a 19" 4:3 tv is a 24" 16:9 tv and for a 26" 4:3 tv it is a 32" 16:9 tv.

You would have no problems finding 1080p resolutions in 24" and 32" sizes. HDMI connections are indeed standard (for the moment at least).

A little warning on using a digital tv as computer monitor. This should in theory be no problem at all with great picture quality (digital end-to-end with no conversion or compression losses). The reality however is that in many cases the pc output displayed on the tv screen is just plain horrible. It is best to purchase the tv/monitor in a brick and mortar store where you can check the picture quality from a pc source beforehand.

My current TV and monitor is 19 and 26 inches, and currently 1080, the bedroom TV is starting to go and am looking to replace it.

I didn't say 1080p resolution monitors with such diagonals don't exist, I just tried to explain why you are having a difficult time finding such monitors/tvs. They are not a common size and therefore you may have to pay a premium price for them. If you have the flexibility to go up or down a little in size you will get better choices.

Here is a 1080p 19" tv (refurbished): Amazon . It has hdmi as well as vga inputs to connect a PC.
