slow loading site check please

Using Fatcow for web hosting. carolinechurch.net and carolinechurch.org should both point to the same site. However, the .org site is very slow to load. Fatcow support says they don't see a problem and I should check from different platforms and IPS's.

They asked for a tracert, which I noticed resolve to different IP addresses. Strange? The .org seems to resolve quickly (I see the "Welcome to Caroline Church" up in the tab almost immediately), but the page loads extremely slowly, and with errors in menus and photos--I think because the script files are not loading. Same results from different browsers and from Windows vs. Android.

Any comparisons from locations other than Long Island and ISPs other than Cablevision would be appreciated.

The .net site comes up quick for me. The .org site I gave up on. Here's my ping results:

The second to last hop are different so each site is taking a different path within their network? If one is just a parked domain pointing to the same content then I'd expect them to be on the same server with the same IP address. Odd.

Thanks. Very helpful to get a check from another part of the country. Fatcow support clearly thinks there is nothing wrong at their end.

Others appreciated.

As of 10 AM, the problem seems to have been resolved and the .org site is loading promptly. No explanation from Fatcow as to the cause of the problem and why the two site names resolve to two different IP addresses on their server.

Clearly they thought there was no problem at their end until I pointed our the IP difference and pointed them to this topic, where MarkRH was seeing the issue from Oklahoma. Hard to claim it was a problem with my ISP when it's also occurring 1,500+ miles away.

I'm still seeing different IP addresses and tracerts to the two sites but they come up fine for me now. Maybe they just give different IP addresses to each domain. At my webhost all my websites (completely different domain names) have the same IP address.

The site's coming up so I guess that's all the matters LOL.

Agreed, and thanks again for the reply. I have used Fatcow for more than a decade and almost switched a few months back when I saw I could get multiple (or unlimited) sites for about half the price. Now I wish I had made the move.

Their support had been excellent in the past. Not this time. Different person with each message. They "reopened" the ticket when it never should have been closed. Claimed the screenshots of tracert I sent were corrupted and asked for a re-send. Then they had them and support was working on the issue--I would hear in a few hours. Then things started working. I posted again stating things were working. Later another tech said the screenshots were corrupted and asked for a re-send. The multiple techs seem not to be reading the past posts. I have asked four times why the .org and .net sites resolved to different IP addresses when responding to ping or tracert commands. Still no response to that.

Next year I move to another hosting provider.
