In theory, the Ravens/Browns AND the Steelers/Bengals could both tie, but that would be pretty nuts -- there is usually only 1 tie every couple of years -- two in one week, in one division would be incredible |

A tie is also considered half a loss, so it is net wash
The Division standings would look HILARIOUS though with all 4 teams tied at 0-1-1 |

said by ILpt4U:Nope, the NFL still allows ties, if, after 5 quarters of play the score is still tied But a tie is a win for both as far as the NFL goes. It only counts as 1/2 a win but still 100% chance the AFC North get's a 'W' in week 2. |

A tie actually helped the Eagles get into the playoffs a couple years ago with a record of 9-6-1 |

None of the games this week jump out at me as ones I need to watch. Maybe the Denver/Giants game but most appear to be good vs bad teams. |

I have a feeling it's going to be a lot of 3-and-outs for Geno on Thursday. It's going to be pretty ugly, methinks. |

The Manning-Bowl!
I'm looking forward to the NY games, obviously, but also SF @ Seattle. Also curious to see what hapens in Dallas @ KC (can Dallas win without getting fed 6 turnovers). |

My must see game:
Seattle vs SF (Qwest field is a nightmare for visiting teams). If Seattle can get Home Field advantage throughout the play offs they will make the SB.
Manning Bowl. I want to see the Giants defense stop the Broncos receivers.
Washington at GB: Just want to see Washington go 0-2. Too much hype over a QB that has accomplished zero and is not even 100%. |

Buffalo played better than the Jets. Plus, the Jets have a Rookie QB, no WR threat, not much of a run game, and Tom Brady to deal with. |

Edit: Didn't realize this, but the Manning Bowl features the top 2 passing attacks in the League right now. I knew Peyton lit it up, but didn't think Eli threw for 428 yards. |

I didn't realize it was that high either but they had a fumbler and were playing from behind...so they basically had to throw. |

I guess it's a statement of the state of the game in the NFL when 428 yards passing is an after thought |

Geno might become a good QB but he's terrible right now. When is Sanchez back? |

Bloody Smith, so many rookie mistakes, 4 sacks!!! One of the few times I wish Dirty Sanchez was back in the game, who plays next? Matt Simms? Even worse...
Jets are in serious trouble this year
And the officiating, where they called a blatantly obvious fumble an incomplete pass. But this is the Pats, the anti-raiders, no harm shell come the house of Bill and Tom.
All said and done, if I dismiss the mistakes Geno Smith made, they held their own against the Pats, which are obviously going to have a hard time, if they can't walk over weaker teams, I hate to see when they get a serious challenge.
Once the rain came Brady was as useless as a tit on a bull, he couldn't throw the ball if his life depended on it. |

Jets Pats was a pretty awful game. On a scale of 1 to 10 the Jets offense was a 3 and the Pats offense was a 4. The Pats are going to lose a lot of games. |

They will because it's an easy division. |

I didn't see the fish game, so I can't comment on that. Lets see how they do against the Colts on Sunday. |

I don't know what the frig has happened to Brady, but these two games so far he's been terrible. Yeah, the team has lost a LOT of great throw to guys, but that was never an issue to them in the past, they just picked a new guy to be the target. Moss, Welker, etc. They CAN do it, but for some reason this season, haven't been able to do it solidly yet. I'm going to the Falcons / Patriots game in Atlanta in two weeks, I hope they start playing better football by then. |

That game was pretty ugly, but I don't think it was Brady as much as it was the new guys not running the proper routes and dropping passes. I say that because I doubt Brady goes from "great" to "suck" in such a short time. The Pats need to get those guys up to speed.
And Geno... not a bad game up until the pressure was on in the 4th quarter and he turns into Sanchez and throws not one, not two, but three interceptions. Can't do that in the 4th when you're only down by 3 and almost in Field Goal range. |

Brady just didn't bring his game down to the new players level. He played like he had Welker, Gronk, etc. out there on the field. The throws that those vets would have gotten Brady put the ball right where you'd expect it to be. What he failed to understand is these new people aren't up to that level yet. They aren't going to make the cut you expect when you expect it to happen. They aren't going to run the same speed so leading like the people of old means overthrows. Brady is a good QB but he's an old dog who hasn't learned a new trick in a while. If he can't get his corps up to his level or play down to their level this is going to be a top 10 draft year for them. Realistically it's easier for Brady to play to his new casts talents so I put the blame on Brady for the poor games so far. |
