Just got Flash Player 11.8.800.175 (IE) from the usual place. Digital signature timestamp is Sunday, September 15, 2013 21:04:01.

So .168, .174 and now .175

Interesting that there is still nothing beyond .168 for IE 10 on Windows 8.

That's pretty much all I've been doing of late, patching.

You may fetch the Flash Player 11.8.800.175 IE ActiveX via:
»www.adobe.com/products/f ··· on3.html

There are too many caveats in what Mr. Campbell said, thus, I'm pushing these out right away to get the patching week over and get on to something else next week.

Interesting, I just checked my version and I've been updated to xxxxx..175. Was there something in one of the previous updates that was inserted to trigger these updates? I've always waited for the notification to pop up on my desktop..

ciao, bj

I checked IE10 here and see it was auto-updated to .175 between the last time I looked and now.

I wish anyone with IE 10 would state what OS. I find the posts in this thread confusing because IE 10 on Windows 8 is quite different from IE 10 on Windows 7 in regards to Flash Player.

There is still NO update from .168 for IE 10 on Windows 8. The last update of the Microsoft Security Advisory was Sept 10.

I don't find this confusing at all, it's really rather quite simple.
Microsoft takes care of Internet Explorer 10 Flash releases for Windows 8. Mentioning an Internet Explorer 10 update in this thread (along with a screen grab) should clearly indicate that it's for Windows 7. The original published links pertaining to this update is only for Adobe Flash Active-X releases, along with their counter part plug-in releases. THEY DO NOT PERTAIN to Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8, only Windows 7. If an update to Flash comes out for Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8, then create a separate thread for it as they are two separate entities. Hope that clears things up.

You can always check here »www.adobe.com/software/f ··· h/about/ to check if there is a released flash for W8. My guess is there will be one on Tuesday since it's the fourth Tuesday of the month to keep it inline with their releases.

That page isn't up tp date.

As discussed in this thread .175 is the latest release for non-Win8 IE.

In this instance yes, it isn't cause .175 isn't released to the public yet as stated in the release announcement. On the 24th for sure the site will be updated.

" We anticipate updating our Flash Player download page (ht tp://get.adobe.com/flashplayer) on Tuesday, September 24th."

Fair enough. That said I don't know where you got that message and at no point did I ever get an indication that .175 was a beta.

I just checked the .175 installer file properties and nowhere in there does it say beta.

FYI the digital signature time stamp on the installer I have is September 15, 2013 21:04:01. I guess we'll see on Tues if a later version is on Adobe's site.

I agree, anything that is offered for download @ ht tp://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html is not a beta. I wouldn't be surprise if it's the same version released on the 24th.

Adobe's verficiation tool must be busted, then ? We'll see what fleshes out on Tuesday.

All the caveats in the Adobe discussion have led some of us to run the Beta IE ActiveX.

No idea. That's the first time I've ever seen the tool. When I run it under IE10 on Win7 X64 SP1 it shows that .175 is a beta per your image above. That said I find nothing in the .175 installer or installed files that indicate that its a beta.

Gotta love Adobe for making things clear.

The tool's been around for a while, it's supposed to work as advertised but with Adobe - who's in Bed with Google and others, you never know.

I'm not losing any sweat running the (Beta) IE ActiveX until Tuesday.

As I indicated earlier in this thread - of note as well -
»get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ is busted as it freezes for some
reason. I have no workaround to suggest at this time.

The .175 version I, and others, downloaded last week is exactly the same.

Just redownloaded and the Digital signature time stamp is still Sunday, September 15, 2013 21:04:01.

The Adobe validation tool

»helpx.adobe.com/flash-pl ··· yer.html

still says .175 is a beta.
