I did update the drivers to the beta 331.40 drivers. And although the performance was better than the 327 drivers it's still pretty bad. It's hard to play with any precision when the game is operating like this.

I hope things improve greatly before the beta ends. I held off on pre-ordering anything because of things like this. I preordered BF3 and early on BF3 was an absolute debacle with tons of server issues, performance issues, computer freezing, video card overheating/locking up, etc etc. The list just went on and on. It wasn't until about 3 months after its release that the game became somewhat playable for me. I'm just not going to fall into that trap all over again.

So I'm perfectly happy waiting for the smoke to clear before I buy into BF4.

I'm not worried about it man. The game doesn't fully release for another 3 1/2 weeks. I gaurantee it'll be nicely optimized and we'll have some good drivers.

Battlefield 3 runs excellent, and it has for a long time.

I have a 3570k + 16gb ram + gtx 680 and it runs like absolute garbage. CPU usage is about 396%

It's obviously still a bit buggy. I run it at 1920x1080 at ultra settings and everything maxed and sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's choppy and stutters a lot. Even in places where there's no intense graphical action.

I am on a i5 2500k @ 4.2, 16mb ram, SSD, and a pair of 570gtx in SLI. I lowered the ambient occlusion setting and it has no issues now. I am sure they will get it fixed at some point.

I'm a bit afraid for release....

Works great on a couple of 7950's, I'm excited for launch.

I can't wait to see some of the released guns.

I got the invite but have not dowloaded it yet. I'm sporting a i7 950, Geforce 650TI and 12G of ram. Should I expect to at least run this decently? And no I'm not looking for the top end settings

You should be fine. My Sandy Bridge i7 mobile and GTX 560M play it decently on average settings.

M1 Abrhams needs to be nerfed. Helicopters have no counter. The "up high" gang are a pain and always accurate. No allowance for distance. Needs nerfing. Zones are way out. You can empty a magazine and not kill someone but they get you with one shot. Graphics suck, frankly. I'm running 60 fps on my GTX680. The console command perfoverlay.drawfps 1 does work.

The other thing that's pretty OP, are the guided RPG's. That shit is just plain dumb. Boats and tanks stand no chance to the roof campers up above.
