A Statement Was Made

And it seemed to be, "Watch out, because once the other team gets four touchdowns ahead and stops playing hard, our offense can really move that ball."

Pure abberation, or time to stop watching and 'wait til next year' already?

Will they get their act together pronto enough, or make the same follow-up statement the Nats made this year after winning their division a year ago?

I think it's more a matter of how quickly RGIII shakes off the rust, and whether he consistently starts to step into his throws with the appropriate use of his right leg.

Also it was the first time an NFL team has been subjected to Chip's hurry-up
No real way to simulate it, and until now, no professional film.

D looks really good, was good last year and Orakpo back

As SixOfNine says, RG3 has rust to shake off and also timing to re-establish.
Pat White in preseason could run his plays, so the plays aren't totally new to the RBs and OL, but the handoffs were rusty.

Dallas is smoke and mirrors with some D strength and Whitten but there is Romo (ala Grossman).

Eagles are a novelty... remember how effective the wildcat was at first, then a couple of games later Miami ran into Ray Lewis and company well prepared and everyone else learned how to defend it... they did little after that.
Same IMO with the Eagles, the first film is in, they may have another novelty game of two but they will come back to earth.

Giants had turnovers and are getting a cakewalk this week... Denver on the east coast, they have traditionally not done well after a romp at home and a long travel...I expest the Giants to look good.

Skins should be in contention to win the division make the playoffs.
This is a different culture.... back to the George Allen/Joe Gibbs 1st time expectations, not the fiasco we went through under Snyderspurr and Snydernorv, and Snydermarty

Frankly Synatro I forgot did he sing the song "I messed it my way?"

and as a PS on the Eagles, you think Vick and McCoy will stay healthy more than 1/2 the season?

Vick, probably not. McCoy, maybe.

McCoy had 31 rushing attempts.
Multiplied by 16 games that is 496 attenpts.

Only 5 backs have ever gone over 400 in a season

1. Larry Johnson (27) 416 2006 KAN
2. Jamal Anderson (26) 410 1998 ATL
3. James Wilder (26) 407 1984 TAM
4. Eric Dickerson+ (26) 404 1986 RAM
5. Eddie George (27) 403 2000 TEN

Chip Kelly's hurry-up speed?
I don't play fantasy, but I would want him early and be looking to get rid of him sometime between 9-12 games.
He is now in his 5th year and the life expectancy for the normal RB is over. (Look at Tim Hightower, he made 4 years) There are and have been notable exceptions of course, but they are noteworthy because they are exceptions.
I don't think the Eagles can or will sustain what they came out of the gate with...

Well, hello. An exclamation point was put on the statement vs. Green Bay.

Let the finger-pointing begin!

Knock, knock

Who's there?

Owen

Owen who?

0 & 3

(it'd be funny if it wasn't so sad)

They at least more closely resembled an NFL pro team yesterday. Yet it's still another loss, and like you say, now 0 & 3. (Or should that be Owen III?)

The players seem to think they're still capable of running off a string of victories, and beating Oakland would sure be a good place to start-- not that there's any particular reason to believe the Skinnies should or will win that game.

They do get to play the Giants twice this year, though.

Perhaps now RGIII will slide.
