Comcast new Modem, still with lag

Brick, NJ 08723

Gaming has been lagging intermittently in the last week, sometime really bad to the point its not playable, sometimes not at all

When I Run the diagnostic tool under Troubleshooting "Test Connectivity" I always get the same result of inactive with no Packets received, is this just a bug in the software/firmware? doesn't matter what Address I enter result is the same.

I'm in the same boat as you. Yesterday I was at a Comcast service center and the place was really packed with a lot of people exchanging defective gateways for new ones.

I'm thinking these are just the cheapest crap that's probably refurbished and performance is lousy.

I'm getting dropped connections in IRC and ping jumps all over the place in games.

I've run the ping quality test and smoker tool for many hours and packet drop is like 40%

I'm most likely going to Best Buy tonight and purchasing a cable modem from this page ---> »mydeviceinfo.comcast.net/

Here is my tech information

Problem started with my Mortorla Sb6210 , with it I was getting a 0% latency loss but was losing packets and failing mostly high bandwidth test. When I switched to the technicolor latency loss went from 35 to 95 loss and failed tests randomly across the bandwidth
