Verizon FiOS → POP email down again (baltimore md area)?

Getting no response out my email client, cell phone client is running very slow and sometimes getting nothing, but webmail interface shows activity. Anybody else having problems or is it just this laptop which I have brought with me to visit my mother, who also has FIOS connection but uses a non-VZ email account.

It's been down for me as well all morning North of Dallas.

POP email also down in VHO8 SE PA (Philadelphia)

Rather strange. My POP client checks my account and my wife's. My account retrieves OK but hers times out sometimes saying server is not available.

I am fine here in in S/E Pa near Philadelphia. I can send and receive

My direct 'webmail' link failed with the following web page response:

In case the front sign on pages changed, I got the same response when going thru verizon.com, and followed the trail into the residential email path.

This is why FIOS is so great -- we deliver shit faster than anyone else thru fiber technology!

Same here. Everything is gone from all Verizon email accounts.

Email Service Update

This morning, Verizon experienced an email service disruption that affected a small portion of our email customers. Through our restoration effort, customers are now able to send and receive email normally and will continue to have access to their calendar and address book. We are diligently working to recover email folders that cannot be seen at this time. When the issue is fully resolved, email previously sent or received and any personal folders that customers created prior to this interruption will be available.

All the queued E-mail came back... just took it a while.

Like others have said, E-mail is not Verizon's #1 priority. If it bothers you that much, set up a Gmail account. Even then it's not 100% reliable. Maybe more reliable than Verizon but nothing's 100%.
