»news.cnet.com/8301-1023_ ··· 1_3-0-20 They already are testing the water with this with the TWC Roku App -- the only current downside is the Roku app requires you to have a STB and corresponding digital cable service. |

They've been talking about all these changes for so long, I dont know if we will ever see them. It seems like every week I read something about TWC is going to do this or that, but everything always stays the same. |

I'd be happy if they just made everything copy-freely, so I could watch recordings from my CableCard tuner on any device.... |

What about subs with DVR service? I hope that the 6-tuner boxes being talked about would start being deployed within that same years' time.

Satch Supposedly that DVR was going to happen the 2nd half of 2013, and we are well into that. I'm starting to get doubtful about it happening this year. It seems like every person I talk to at TWC that knows about it, I get 5 that have no idea what I'm talking about. I had even left a message on their Facebook page, and the guy that was answering their questions kept posting me links saying it was supposed to be something "in the cloud" not an actual DVR. I asked him did he even read the links he was posting for me, because if he had he wouldve seen where it talked about an actual DVR and one of the links had pictures of it. Oh well |

In the past, employee testing lasts about 2 years before they start offering the product. Not sure if that's the case, but suspect the 6 tuner is 1st half 14 at best. |

The cost of Internet will skyrocket if we have to stream everything. The usage meter is on there for more than just for our info. The caps will start. |

It's all talks. They need to prove it with results. |

Yeah, I wonder how long unlimited will last on TWC. The new CEO says unlimit stays according to » [NEWS] New Time Warner Cable CEO: We'll Keep Offering Unlimited ... :P |

I use the Roku app, and don't have a STB. Of course you need to subscribe to some tier of cable service to see what you are subscribing to via the app. |
