[bug] Post word-wrap issueI haven't seen any other posts about this but I'm seeing a word-wrap issue on some, but not all, posts as shown in the attached screen capture. This also hides the Reply button etc as they're right-justified. Running Firefox 23.0.1. Here a link to a thread where this occurs » Microsoft security bulletin for September 10 2013 |

Is there a shorter post in that thread you could give me the permalink to? I'm not seeing the same thing in FF23.0.1 on the Mac:

I was actually trying to reply to this one » Re: New MS Office Updates to fix!and didn't see the Reply button. I thought, initially, that the thread may've been locked but the button was just off the screen. Now if I open the above link in a new tab/window the issue isn't there. I have to open the whole thread (e.g. with my initial post link) and scroll down. The screen capture above is what I see if I scroll the browser window to find the Reply button. |

FYI just restarted Firefox in Safe-Mode (all add-ons disabled) and I see the same issue. |

I think it's the code block that does it, I ran across similar in another forum the other day.
edit I should mention I don't get a text cut off but the margins of the thread are wrong. |

Looks like your typical blown margins, usually due to too-large images though blocks of code (on some sites) have been known to do it, too. You "should" get a scrollbar for the block of code (I do). |

I will check but the blown margins are rare if you are getting them often I wonder it the browser is not doing the right thing. if you do have a horizontal scroll bar - which you should never really have to have - you can find the left menu overlays things as per the other screen shot. |

why would you want a horizontal scroll bar unless the browser or content was failing to wrap can you give me a link and a horizontal width where a scroll bar appears? (and the browser if not Firefox ) |

Huh?
I thought you were asking if I got a horizontal scroll bar when the issue occurs. I do. I don't have one normally which is what initially threw me.
As for the rest I stated all that in my initial post. |

I get a horizontal scroll bar and a screen like the one in my initial post. |

Then it's likely that post--with the code block--is blowing your margins; it's the only "questionable" post in the topic, all the others being normal text and image thumbnails. I just wonder why you don't get a scrollbar on the code block instead of the page. |

This is what I see in ff23 on that post:
The code block isn't acting as a code block.

So, you do or don't usually get the SyntaxHighlighter formatting? (disabling javascript will also disable SyntaxHighlighter) |

Sorry, what is the SyntaxHighlighter?
(Javascript is enabled) |

Makes it look like this (except it can also provide highlighting if you specify the type of code):

Ahh. Do I have to be the poster or does that work for everyone? How do I enable it?
I have an editor with syntax highlighting but didn't know that was possible on this site. |

Seems not, in FF23. In Safari it works fine. |

This post » Re: Microsoft security bulletin for September 10 2013shows as a "code block" for me in Chrome and Firefox 23.. perhaps your firefox console might reveal me a hint. |

Should be automatic for everyone--dslr.net scripts as well as some embedded code. |

Not for me. In fact as tmpchaos posted here the code block isn't working right (no scoll bar for it etc). |

Yeah, I guess that's another way to disable javascript. (selected scripts anyway) |

Using the https site disables Javascript? I'm not using anything to filter/disable it. |

Just the scripts located on "unsecure" domains. |
