1 recommendation | [Chat] HS Football 2013 I used to be in marching band back when I was in high school, and so I had to go to all the home (and away) football games. Compared to professional gridiron, the high school version always seemed more casual, still serious but enjoyable even if the team wasn't on top. Also, it's fall, my second favorite season of the year.
Since I moved to Marlboro a year and change ago, I've never been to any of the games, even though the high school field is literally 500 feet away. Well, I got home from ice cream, and I meandered on over in the 4th quarter through the gate to find that Marlboro was on its way to defeating Milford in its first game of the year, score 33-17.
I love this mention on the Panther's web site about tonight's conditions: Temp: 70'S Wind: LITTLE Weather: GREAT OPENING NIGHT
Happy fall, everyone! -- -Frosty, KA1FOX |

I did Marching Band too. AAAA powerhouse, MA, NE champs, 2 Pats games. Pats sucked then and so did the schools football team (2 wins in 4 years). Roles have been reversed in the *mumble* years since then. Football has had unbeaten seasons and the band is Single A.
DK was a hot cheerleader. |

Our marching band didn't compete, but we did our core competency reasonably well. And we did home and away games, unlike many of the competitive bands which just did home games. -- -Frosty, KA1FOX |
