 | [Connectivity] Usability of other cable jacks in house I have a tivo and tivo mini.
I have a coax jack in my kitchen and wondered if my tivo mini was portable to this jack seamlessly... Or... did my cable guy only activate the jacks where my TVs are now?
Thanks for any input... |

| It should be seamless, as jacks do not have to be activated. The only issue is if the cable is actually connected. The good news is it won't hurt to try as no damage will be done. If it doesn't work and you can't find the disconnect, then return it to it's original place. |

 | I'm constantly amazed at how the connections on splitters seem to loosen on their own, when there are no obvious vibrations or movements in the area. |

Would you recommend using a 4 way tap like the one above? The output would feed the cable modem and MoCa bridge, and the 4 taps would feed the televisions (-15,-16,-17,-18 dB). This way you could avoid any splitters scattered throughout the house (assuming you have 4 TV's). Would there be a problem with pixelating? |
