Fluke meter parts

Anyone ever buy parts from Fluke. Will they even sell them.

My Fluke 77 Series 1 (my newest meter ) seems to have gone south on me. I think it's the switch but I have to take the switch off to see the board side. Just wondering if I can get parts. I'll call Monday.

Humm, don't know my 8060A went nutz a while back.. Post back what you find out, it would be nice to have it back in service. (I bought a second one off ebay it's working great)

Finally got around to taking the switch off of the board. Apparently, there was enough wear that the rotating part got out of alignment with the stationary contact and bent it. I was hoping for dirty.

Well, finally go around to calling Fluke. Seems that they don't do part searches, even if they would have the part. The manual is not on the web site. You have to come up with a P/N (somehow) and then see if they have it.

They do take credit cards

Edit: Maybe cheaper to buy one on Ebay and swap parts as needed. Taking the chance the same part is not bad.

Thanks. Yes, I had done that and thought I saved the PDF. I foolishly didn't and didn't find out until I was told they won't do a parts search. The closest I found with Google was a Series II here »transmille.net/ProCal/Procedure%···nual.pdf

However, if you go on transmille.net and drill down though a bunch of folders you get to a point that has the Series I. Both seem to use the same switch. So, I'll try again when they wake up.

I guess, not unexpectedly, Fluke no longer has parts for the meter. I was offered a deal, pretty good actually, a CNX3000 for 50% of the $350 advertized price if I return my meter. I don't really need a CNX3000 but not a bad deal. Obviously, they hope to make it up on the modules they want to sell you for the CNX3000.

Hmmm, maybe I'll take a chance with ebay.
