This is where the connector for the video is under keyboard. I know it LOOKS loose on the left, but I assure you it's only the p
Had someone bring me their 4 month old Toshiba C855D-S5351 laptop, and it has an odd video problem. It's a problem the laptop has had since 2 weeks into ownership from what I was told.

When it comes up, the screen has a blue-ish tint to it, like a loose cable, and if you put pressure on the upper-right corner of the laptop on the bottom by the cpu fan - not the screen - it will go back to normal. Once you let go of the corner however, the blue tint returns.

Now, I would suspect a loose cable, but the video cable, isn't located near this corner, so I don't see that as being the cause. I removed the keyboard and the connector is near center and secured. I reseated it anyway, but no change. It's technically under warranty, even though Toshiba is giving this guy the run around in terms of fixing it. Claimed it was an internal problem, caused by him, and they weren't going to honor the warranty. No duh it's an internal problem you clown, the video is bad! It's either a cable, or a video card. External monitor has no issue with display.

Anyone run into this with this model? I think it's an integrated video problem myself, as the pressure from the bottom that fixes the issue isn't even CLOSE to where the cable is, as the cable runs along the TOP of the board anyway.

Might be a grounding issue. My first guess would be the same as yours though.
