This is Annex M as well.

We don't have Annex M enabled. You're on a 7040/1024 profile, so minus 15% ATM overhead, that's about what you should be getting.

Im actually synching on the modem right now at 6750/1025. XD With or without "M" involved.

Oh the craziness these poor lines have gone through over the past 4 years i lived here. (mosty pushing the CRAP out of them)

I wouldn't have it any other way though

Both sides need to have it on before it will negotiate. Your end being on or off won't make a difference.

Your current stats are:

In Sync: true
Reading Date: Wed, 18 Sep 2013 20:51:42 -0400
State Change: Wed, 18 Sep 2013 20:45:44 -0400
Up/Down Time: 5 mins, 58 secs
Latency: interleaved
Bitrate: 6750 kbps \ 1025 kbps
Max Bitrate: 8068 kbps \ 1025 kbps
Capacity: 83.7 % \ 100 %
SNR: 6.7 dB \ 11.3 dB
Attenuation: 51.5 dB \ 34.9 dB
Cell Count: null \ null
Trans Mode: ADSL2+

I wonder if we could squeeze some more upstream out of your line by tweaking the impulse noise protection setting.

would 800-900m give the full 10?

I'm going to say "most likely" with the caveat of line conditions etc....

Your choice - doesn't physically hurt the lines to try. At worst, your connection could become unstable, and the setting would have to be changed back.

Paying for 5/0.6, can't get better speeds unless we get a second line and pay $40 more. The sooner they bring Fiber, the better!

wouldn't the unlimited lte just be faster/better than dsl?

Good evening ,

See all ISP's provide a shared bandwidth not a dedicated one (dedicated ones like leased line will charge a lot of money ) , DSL technology support sharing of bandwidth, so when you take a connectivity, always ISP signs a contract stating that they will be providing you connection speed up to 30 Mbps or 16 Mbps etc ..

Many times it has been found the routers doesn't support higher speeds , so please check with the router vender , or check the line noise ratio it will give you a better understanding on line status .

if all are fine then check with ISP to route your packets with a non populated pops

Because that's where my VPN server is, so getting 10Meg to TO doesn't really help me qualify the connection, does it?
It just makes one feel marginally better and determine if congestion is on his last mile or upstream.
In this case it is upstream.

Do you agree the problem occurs at peak time now considering THIS is what I get when no one cares:

Happy? Oh, and before you ask "why the hell 3Mbps up and not 4" - I have QoS enabled right now, it wasn't before.

I'm just curious, why "non-teksavvy"???? Why exclude one of the biggest IISP's out there from this thread?

We're a small ISP... I guess I have an unfair advantage

I just sent you a PM.

As for my speed tests, here it is, but I'm experiencing bad button lag (online gaming) with Bell... first few days were amazing though:
