Imho killing Andrea is probably the most cruel and cold blooded thing we've seen on the show. She is a true innocent. From memory, I can't remember the show ever sacrificing an innocent like that.
In second place you'd probably have that chemist that worked for Gus whom Jesse killed to force Gus in keeping Walt and Jesse alive. But the chemist was a drug cook so he wasn't exactly an innocent man.
This was really hardcore.
You're kidding me right?
Did you completely forget about the 8-year old kid that Todd killed in the desert after the train robbery??? He was even more innocent and undeserving than Andrea! -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo
I liked how Todd died. it was like go on Jesse he's yours.
And the uncle, though I think walt should have made him spit out the cig, you know don't let him die peacefully. -- semper idem 1KTzRMxN1a2ATrtAAvbmEnMBoY3E2kHtyv
great ending but where was the guy at the gate. how did he die? he was just standing by the gate to open it. no way he got hit -- I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock.
ran away? i guess like the rest of the finale, everything just worked out perfectly for walt.
jack didn't kill him cause he wanted to prove jesse's not a partner.
the guy didnt make walt move his car.
the guy put the keys on the pool table right next to walt.
the cops outside skylar's house were really bad at keeping a watch on the house.
the partners didnt lock the door after coming in. didnt turn on the alarm. had the blinds up. skinny pete and badger were able to use laser pointers perfectly from far away. saw the signal right away.
the cops knew of the car description stolen from NH but nobody stopped walt driving.
there are probably more things that im forgetting. but its very unlike vince to have everything work out perfectly.
tl;dr still better than dexters finale -- I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock.
I think also Walt had them get Jesse to give him a chance to get the keys.
Worked perfectly, the guy was going to kill walt and then later tried buying his life.
He played on the nazi's ego. I'm pretty sure he was going to kill jesse for partnering up with the nazi's. but when he saw that jesse was just a slave, he changed his mind.
but i liked the nazi's death. died exactly like Hank died (without the begging). And todd's death was satisfying.
Naw I think he had already planned to save Jesse, he likely knew Jesse was a prisoner once the two had mentioned that they thought it was him and Walt said it wasn't, so then they mentioned why didn't Jesse hook them up.
Having Jesse there also gave him a reason to jump on the floor to cover for him pressing the DIE NAZI SCUM button. -- semper idem 1KTzRMxN1a2ATrtAAvbmEnMBoY3E2kHtyv
oh and how did he get the rison into the sugar packet without opening it
The man built a remote control pop up and strafe M-60 machine gun in the back of a Caddy that took out a room full of Nazi's. I think hiding poison in a packet of powdered sweetener would be no big deal
A little behind because I don't watch TV week to week, I wait for the end of a season or a natural break (in terms of regular networks).
My sister and I have been emailing back and froth wrt to why Walt let Jesse live. I figured it was because Jesse could say that Walt didn't kill Hank and Gomez, getting Skylar off the hook, and clearing Walts name for that crime.
She figures because he stopped being Heisenberg and became Walt and his humanity came back, with Walt being in the "cook room" making the cops think it was him doing all the cooking.
On another note.. wasn't the neo nazi "camp" in the middle of BF nowhere ? If so who would have called the cops? Who would have heard that gun go off (sound does travel, but where it's coming from is another story). -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake.......
In the end, sparing Jesse was the only 'good' thing Walt did before he died. I like to think it was the one moment of clarity he had. -- Fluent in 3 languages: English, Sarcasm and Sexual Innuendo.
Walt betrayed Jessie and tried to have him killed. The rules go out the window and there are no lines you can't cross. He was pretty self destructive at times. As most young people with money would be. -- Fluent in 3 languages: English, Sarcasm and Sexual Innuendo.
An interesting take on a couple of supporting characters :
Laura Fraser who played Lydia, and is a brit, did an amazing job hiding her accent, I found an interview with here : »www.hollywoodreporter.com/video/···r-601998 and it's pretty damn thick.
Since I watch a lot of British TV i can usually pick up on small nuances how people enunciate their words. I couldn't pick up a thing.
However if you watched the last season of Suits, Adam Godley, had a role as Louis Litt's British counterpart. He did a pretty good job hiding his accent too on BB, as Elliot Schwartz, but I did pick things up, the way a brit would say certain words. -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake.......
Well, I caught this series only as a marathon, and only watched the last 2 years of seasons, but the ending WAS awesome. And, according to my SIL, she thinks a door is still open for a continuation of the story is some manner.
Imho killing Andrea is probably the most cruel and cold blooded thing we've seen on the show. She is a true innocent.
she wasn't innocent. she called the hit on the guys who were cooking the subpar meth and she wanted todd to kill Walt's wife, but he didn't. don't forget she played a big part in the drug dealing, supplying ingredients and as a middle woman for the european connections.
