First pre-season game and one kid stands out. Hunter Shinkaruk scores a beauty with mom and dad in the stands. I love his parents reaction. What a moment for Hunter and what a moment for them. He puts that puck into a hole the size of a pocketbook.
Unfortunately, NHL Centre Ice isn't providing a free preview yet, so I wasn't able to watch the game. Very disappointing as I assumed it would be on and was looking forward to watching. But it looks like some young players had a pretty good outing (the box scores included a number of names new to me).
Hunter Shinkaruk looked great............only a pre-season game,but there were some positives.
Eddie Lack looks like he might be the backup or even contend for the #1 if Luongo craps out. -- Sarcasm is the body's natural defense against stupidity.

I think Lack is "steady" and most likely a capable back up keeper. I doubt he could ever carry the load if Luongo had a long term injury. Cannata looks just as steady and maybe a better reaction keeper.
