[Help] Lighting help please

Ok, I'm using 5000K lights and a white lightbox but everything comes out like this:

Panasonic DMC-GH2
43mm 1/500th F8 ISO800

It should be black on white, not black on grey

Can someone please look at the EXIF data and tell me what to adjust? Even if I hold one of the lights right next to the camera and I see white, I get grey.

Thanks

For one it looks underexposed. The white background is throwing off the meter in your camera. Add some exposure compensation.

cool. A second light or even a reflector (can be paper!) on the left to bounce some light into the shadows.

To elaborate- meters are designed to 'read' an 18% grey card, and adjust exposure so that reproduces correctly. So it reads the white, and exposes to make it that grey. For the most accurate exposure, get a grey card, and use that to meter the exposure.

I'm but an amateur with a PS camera. When I have exposure issues I use a program called Simply Good Pictures. It's amazing what it can do with one click.

Today I saw something that reminded me of you. But don’t worry, I flushed and everything went back to normal.
