[IL] Slow upload speeds

Well tech came out today replaced a filter and fittings outside. Does a speedtest and goes this is the fastest download speed I have ever seen it was 115. He goes that tier of service is not avalable here. Now he checks upload his netbook tested the same as my system 2.5 to 2.6 up. He calls tier 2 they say everything is fine. change modem same thing. Signals are good all is well in the house. He says it has to be a lack of bandwidth to the upload side at the headend. Why cant it be an easy fix. On a side note this was the best tech I have ever had out for a problem.

I currently don't see the Ultra 105 available in your area either. But still getting only 2.5-2.6 upload on Ultra 50 would be a bit low. I'll check with the headend tech for your area to see what can be done about this.

chad it may not be available but your billing me for it and I'm getting the speeds.

this is what shows up in usage meter. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut I don't want it taken away. I want the 2tb cap.....

Currently you are on a promotion until March of next year that has you paying less than the standard rates for Ultra 50. I'm looking into what the plan is and will let you know when I find out more information.

You're at the current level of service, yes. I'm looking into the low upstream speeds for you.

You're welcome. It's very possible that the 10Mbps upload speeds are not available in your area yet. However you should be getting closer to 5.

As soon as I get any word that it is upgraded, I will let you know.

I definitely will. If I don't hear anything today or over the weekend I'll check with the TOS on Monday for an update.

Unfortunately no updates have been received just yet. I did send another query over to the technical supervisor today. If for some reason I do not hear back from him by the end of the week I'll go ahead and escalate it further up for you.

chad can you send this further up the pipe. it was nice of mediacom include on the bill that we get 105/10 for free but I would just take 5 meg up right now. My smart phone has faster uploads than mediacom
