I have a defective cooler on my Intel Duo E6300 CPU but I have a new Intel stock cooler for the I7 CPU. If possible I would like to use the I7 cooler as a replacement on the Duo Core processor. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance |

I've never used a stock cooler on anything but the cpu it came with. A lot of the after market coolers can handle both, but usually come with a variety of clips for doing so. I am almost certain the hole pattern is a little different between the two. -- Intel i7-2600k /ASRock P67 Extreme4 /4x 4Gb G.Skill /2x Intel 510 series 250Gb SSD /3x WD20EADS 2TB /2x PNY GTX 260 /Silverstone 850W /Custom water cooler /Antec Twelve-Hundred |

| Newegg has the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 + for $20 after rebate. If you have room in your case, that bad boy will keep things cool. »www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a···35103065
If that's not in the budget, I have a new-in-box Core2Duo stock Intel cooler I could send you for $10 shipped. |

Yes it would be in my budget as have a credit at Newegg, that plus rebate brings it down to $10 plus free shipping. Your stock cooler is also a viable option. I no longer have paypal so would have to be MO if go that route. |
