 | How can we become an internet service provider Would like to know how to be an internet service provider. AT&T and Comcast, do not provide the quality of service that is required by most, speed is another issue with their services. In many areas where we are located, neither companies will even provide broadband service. T1 service by AT&T is available at a premium but constantly fails. Our clients end up losing incredible amounts of money and AT&T continues to refuse to run new lines. Also, I have only met one person that I can remember that has had a nice thing to say about AT&T. So any assistance in helping us build a plan that we can implement and provide excellent service to everyone, we would appreciate it. Including how to obtain right aways and connecting to the Tier 1. Thanks |

 | Thanks, but really looking for a real answer. I understand that it will cost. As in anything in life, contacts make it a lot easier.
So if anyone has real information to add, we would appreciate it.
Take care, |

Who is "we"? Even if you become an ISP, you'll most likely start out leasing lines from ATT or reselling Comcast cable. |

What sort of service(s) do you want to offer?
What sort of budget do you have to invest upfront?
What region(s) do you want to service?
Answer those, and we can go from there... |

What sort of budget or contacts for investment do you have, Seriously, those types of connections nobody is just going to give you free online.
Next question would be are you going to use another companies infrastructure or start from scratch. What type of infrastructure anything from fiber to wisp.
May just be easier to attract another provider to the area or have the city, town whatever start their own. |
